Before starting this firm, Atty. Go served as Chief of Staff and later as Officer-in-Charge of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) under the Office of the President, where he developed in-depth expertise in the media  and law enforcement, working to enhance the safety and rights of journalists.

In his role at PTFoMS, Atty. Go gained extensive expertise in media and law enforcement. He collaborated with various government agencies such as the DOJ, PCO, DFA, AFP, PNP, and NBI. Additionally, he worked with international organizations including the United Nations, Committee to Protect Journalists, and Reporters Without Borders, contributing to global efforts to enhance journalist safety.

Prior to his role at PTFoMS, Atty. Go honed his legal expertise at a top-tier law firm in Ortigas, where he served as an Associate and later as a Consultant, delivering comprehensive legal solutions across various practice areas.

Significant Engagements:

  • Serves as Collaborating Counsel in a habeas corpus petition before the Supreme Court involving complex issues arising from the arrest, detention, and surrender to another jurisdiction of a former President of the Philippines.

  • Serves as Co-Lead Counsel for an incoming Singapore-based fintech company utilizing artificial intelligence, providing comprehensive legal support on Philippine regulatory frameworks, licensing considerations, data governance, and labor and employment compliance.

  • Served as Lead Counsel of a high-ranking police officer involved in a much-publicized House of Representatives’ Quad Committee.

  • Served as Lead Counsel to one of the biggest trading hubs for agricultural products in the Philippines in their litigation cases.

  • Served as Lead Counsel of a former high-ranking local government official accused of murder, attempted murder, and frustrated homicide, which resulted in the dismissal of all charges.

  • Successfully closed high-value post-clearance audits with the Bureau of Customs, a flexible packaging company (₱500 million authorized capital); a leading Philippine power generation firm ($4 million equity), a leading Philippine geothermal energy company (₱30 billion authorized capital stock); and a subsidiary power generation firm (₱11.3 billion authorized capital stock).

  • Orchestrated the visit of United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression, Ms. Irene Z. Khan, to the Philippines. Developed and executed a comprehensive communication strategy,  where the work was formally recognized in the Special Rapporteur's official United Nations report, which stated, "The Philippines has a vibrant, dynamic civil society and media sector... This Administration has shown a greater willingness than the previous one to engage with the Special Procedures of the United Nations Human Rights Council."

  • Spearheaded the first-ever Memorandum of Agreement between PTFoMS and the Public Attorney's Office, ensuring that media practitioners facing legal challenges, including Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation, receive proper legal representation.

  • Successfully led interagency efforts that culminated in the arrest of one of the top ten (10) most wanted suspects in media killings in 2024.
